My experience at Pretty Wild Hair Salon was definitely wild. I purchased a haircut and full color. I have very short hair but somehow I ended up spending more than 4 hours in the salon.

The following are some of the issues that I was faced with during my four-hour haircut and color at Pretty Wild Hair Salon:
1. The person who answered the phone and accepted my Groupon coupon was the same person who eventually did my hair. She seemed friendly when I met her, but after she put the first layer of color on my hair, every time she emerged from the back she appeared more and more inebriated. Every time she was at close distance working on my hair, I could sense the smell of alcohol, which was off-putting. During the four hours I spent there it became more and more visible that she was under the influence.

2. She applied the color I chose without telling me in advance that my hair needed to be bleached before applying the color. The color that came out was atrocious and left me with no choice but to accept her extra charge for the bleach.

3. She even told her colleague that I had refused to have the hair bleached before applying the color. That was NOT true. She never even mentioned that my hair needed bleaching. I assumed that the color of my hair was light enough, and that was why she applied the color without bleaching my hair first.
4. She charged me an additional fee for bleaching my hair although nothing related to additional charges for bleaching is mentioned in the coupon purchase details on the Groupon website.
5. The gray color she applied on top of the bleach washed off two days after my hair was colored at the Pretty Wild Hair Salon.
6. My hair is damaged beyond repair. It feels like wire and it is extremely difficult to wash, comb, brush or style.
7. My scalp is very sensitive to everything and anything at the moment, and it is painful to touch it.

8. The hairstylist even dared to mention that she should have charged me for the day because it took so long to do my hair. That was obviously not my fault. She was under the influence, moved very slowly and should not have colored my hair without bleaching it in advance.

9. I asked her if my hair will be damaged when she recommended that I had it bleached after the color did not come out well. She assured me that my hair was going to be fine.

10. My hair was exposed to too many chemicals within a short amount of time and has been damaged beyond repair. All I can do at the moment is wait for it to grow so I can have it cut again. However, that will take a great deal of time and I will have to sport the current embarrassing color for quite a while before I can have it colored or cut again.
